Quick Facts
About Cape Breton Pro Rodeo
The Cape Breton Pro Rodeo rides into Sydney in September 2026 as the island's first-ever professional rodeo, bringing four nights of bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback riding, and barrel racing to Centre 200. A brand-new event for 2026, it transforms Cape Breton's premier arena into a western spectacle complete with rodeo clowns, live commentary, and edge-of-your-seat action.
Running Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27, the rodeo features professional cowboys and cowgirls competing in classic roughstock and timed events, with nightly performances building toward a championship finale. At approximately $88 per night, tickets reflect the scale of the production and the calibre of the athletes β a serious, professionally produced show rather than a local exhibition.
Centre 200, in the heart of downtown Sydney, is Cape Breton's largest events venue and the perfect host for a production of this size. With hotels, restaurants, and the Sydney waterfront all within walking distance, the rodeo makes an exciting addition to a Cape Breton fall trip β pairing perfectly with the island's legendary autumn scenery and the world-famous Cabot Trail just a short drive away.
