Valley Ghost Walks

Valley Ghost Walks offers family-friendly historical ghost walks and sit-down ghost talks led by the beloved character Jerome the Gravekeeper. Now in its 19th season, the company has entertained over 13,700 attendees across 444 shows since 2007 — a track record that has made Jerome a genuine Annapolis Valley institution and one of the most reliably entertaining evenings in the region.

The format is theatre as much as tour. Jerome the Gravekeeper, in character and costume, leads groups through the graveyards and streets of Wolfville, Kentville, Windsor, Halls Harbour, and Grand-Pré, telling stories rooted in the Valley's real history — Loyalist-era tragedies, shipwrecks, fires, and the odd unexplained event — with comic timing that keeps the tone fun rather than frightening. Walks rotate through the five communities from May through October, typically on select Thursday evenings at 7:45 p.m., and the schedule for each town is posted on the official site at the start of the season. The sit-down "ghost talk" format brings the same storytelling indoors for groups and venues.

Tickets
Cash-only at the gate: $25 for adults, $20 for students. Arrive 10-15 minutes early; walks leave on time and groups cap at a manageable size for storytelling.

Age guidance
Suitable for ages 10 and up. The content is historical and atmospheric rather than gory, but younger children may find the graveyard setting and the dark more unsettling than the stories themselves.

What to bring
Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing — the walks run in all but dangerous weather, and Valley evenings cool off quickly even in summer.
