Tours and Pricing
Two formats run daily. The two-hour tour (adults $75 plus tax, children 12 and under $65 plus tax) motors downriver on the outgoing tide to a 200-acre sandbar at the river mouth, where the crew waits with you for the bore to arrive — then rides it, and the rapids it stirs, back upstream. The four-hour tour (adults $105 plus tax, children $95 plus tax) is billed as the longest tidal bore rafting ride available anywhere: roughly 20 kilometres of rapids, calm stretches, and mud-slide stops. Groups of eight or more qualify for $65/$95 group rates. A GoPro video of your run costs $29, tax included.
Reading the Tide Calendar
Departure times shift daily with the tides, so booking means choosing a date and then a specific departure — check the operator's schedule page before locking in the rest of your day. Trips are sorted into three tide tiers. Extreme tides (over 24 feet) produce the fastest water and the biggest waves, 3 to 10 feet; these are the most-booked departures, and the operator recommends children be 9 or older for them. High tides (23 to 24 feet) throw 3 to 6 foot waves that suit first-timers and families. The gentlest tier comes in under 23 feet with 3 to 4 foot waves — built for splashing, swimming, and long mud-slide sessions. The minimum rider age is 6.
Included, and What to Bring
Every tour includes a safety orientation, certified life jackets, an interpretive talk on the river's history and science, optional mud sliding, hot showers and a change area afterward, and post-tour snacks with a drink. Wetsuits are provided at no charge in spring and fall, when the water is cold. Bring clothes you can raft in — shorts and a t-shirt in summer — plus a full change of clothes and secure footwear; flip flops and Crocs are not permitted on the boat. Arrive one hour before departure.
Booking and Cancellation
Book online or by phone at (902) 986-1412. Groups under eight people need 72 hours' notice to cancel or change; changes inside that window can carry a fee of up to 50 percent, and no-shows are charged the full fare. If the operator cancels for any reason, you are refunded in full. The season runs roughly June through September. The base at 45 Highway 236, Green Oaks — Highway 102 to exit 12, then Route 289 west — is about an hour from Halifax and pairs well with other Bay of Fundy stops.
