Shubenacadie River Runners is the partner brand of Shubie River Wranglers, running tidal bore rafting trips from the same Green Oaks base on the Shubenacadie River — 90 Phillips Road, near the river's mouth at Maitland, with a lodge looking out over the upper Bay of Fundy. The company's 8-passenger Zodiacs work the largest waves the incoming tide produces as it rushes upriver twice a day, and the guides layer the ride with interpretation of the bay's tides, history, and natural forces. Trips come in intensity tiers matched to tide size, from family-friendly runs with medium waves to extreme-tide days with the largest standing waves on the river. Every trip includes the Shubenacadie's signature mud sliding on the clay banks. The minimum rider weight is 50 pounds, which makes the trips workable for families with school-age children; a guardian signs the waiver for anyone under 18.

The check-in routine matters: arrive at least an hour before your departure time — the tide waits for no one — and check in at the lodge, where waivers are signed and payment is taken. About 10 to 15 minutes before departure, staff fit life jackets and hand out rain gear if conditions call for it. Wear shoes with a backing — old sneakers or aqua shoes. After the run, hot showers, changing facilities, and hot chocolate at the lodge close out the day.
