Detailed Information
Drive the Cabot Trail
The Cabot Trail is a 298-kilometer loop that winds through Cape Breton Island, crossing Cape Breton Highlands National Park and hugging coastal cliffs that drop into the Atlantic. This is one of Canada's most famous road trips β and for good reason. The road rises and falls through the highlands, giving drivers panoramic ocean views at nearly every turn. Summer brings green hills and whale-watching opportunities; autumn delivers some of the most intense fall colour in eastern North America.
