Detailed Information

Water's Edge Gallery

Water's Edge Gallery sits in a historic waterfront building at the corner of Water and Chebucto streets in Baddeck, with the harbour directly across the road. The gallery carries work from more than 100 Maritime artists and craftspeople — paintings, photography, pottery, jewellery, and textiles — and the floor-to-ceiling windows mean the collection shares the room with the view of the Bras d'Or Lake. It is open seasonally from June through October, timed to the cruising and touring season that fills Baddeck's waterfront.

The gallery is worth pairing with a walk along the Baddeck waterfront boardwalk and the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, which sits a few minutes up the hill. Because the building is on the main corner of town, it is an easy stop on the way to or from the Cabot Trail, and the staff can point you toward other working studios in the area.
