Atlantic Canada's premier classic rock music festival returns to the Dartmouth waterfront for its fourth year, and the 2026 edition is shaping up to be the biggest yet. Rock the Harbour takes over Alderney Landing from August 14-16, bringing three days of legendary Canadian rock acts to the stunning Halifax Harbour backdrop. With headliners Helix, Kim Mitchell, Lee Aaron, and Nazareth joining an all-Canadian lineup, this 19+ festival has become a summer tradition for classic rock fans across the Maritimes. Getting There
The most scenic approach is the Halifax-Dartmouth Ferry from downtown Halifax (12-minute crossing, departs from the Halifax Ferry Terminal). The venue is a short walk from the Dartmouth ferry terminal. Bus routes serve the Alderney Gate area. No on-site parking is available β plan ahead using transit, rideshare, or the ferry.
