Fox Harb'r Resort

Fox Harb'r Resort is a 1,100-acre oceanside estate on the Northumberland Strait near the village of Wallace, about 20 minutes from Tatamagouche on Nova Scotia's North Shore. Golf: A New Course for 2026

The centrepiece of the resort is its redesigned 18-hole championship course, which opened May 7, 2026 after a multi-year project led by Canadian architects Doug Carrick and Tom McBroom. The 2026 layout pairs the Vineyard Nine, a heathland-style front nine with rolling contours and natural fescue, with the Ocean Nine, a links-style back nine that opened in spring 2025 and plays along the coast with views over the strait. A second 18 is planned, bringing the resort to 36 holes of championship golf by spring 2027. Off the course, guests can book the Golf Academy, clinics, a 30,000-square-foot putting course inspired by St. Andrews, and a golf simulator with a club-fitting studio.

Where to Stay

Accommodation runs from Classic Rooms and Studio Suites to Executive Suites, Golf Manor Suites, and a collection of larger retreats: 3,000-square-foot Wallace Stone Townhomes with four bedrooms, Executive and Ocean View Town Homes, and Marina Landing Villas with private decks over the water. Every room includes Frette linens, Molton Brown bath products, and a private balcony or terrace. Spa, Dining, and the Vineyard

The new Spa and Wellness Centre is built around a self-guided hydrothermal journey — contrast therapy, cold plunge, and mineral pool — with massage and body treatments on the menu. Dining runs from the Cape Cliff Dining Room, the resort's fine-dining room serving Atlantic lobster and other local seafood (reservations and evening dress code required), to The Willard, a casual all-day spot known for its seafood chowder and local craft beer, with in-room dining available all day. The property also grows its own wine grapes — L'Acadie Blanc, New York Muscat, and Lucy Kuhlmann — the second-largest single vineyard block in Nova Scotia.

Activities and the Sporting Lodge

Fox Harb'r is as much about doing as relaxing. The Sporting Lodge hosts clay-target sport shooting with Beretta rifles, archery (including evening glow archery), and axe throwing. On the water, pontoon boat tours and salt-water fishing run from June 15 to September 15, and the resort's Leopard 53 powercat takes small groups on Northumberland Strait cruises past a resident seal herd. Guided e-bike tours follow the Trans-Canada Trail to Tatamagouche, and there are hiking and biking trails, a stocked trout pond, bonfire nights, and tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts. The 37,000-square-foot Joyce Centre hosts meetings, weddings, and celebrations.
