Rock the Harbour

Rock the Harbour was Atlantic Canada's premier classic rock festival, returning to Alderney Landing on the Dartmouth waterfront from August 14-16, 2026 for three days of legendary Canadian rock. With the Halifax skyline glittering across the harbour, the festival paired iconic acts with one of the most scenic concert settings in the Maritimes.

The 2026 lineup brought headliners including Helix, Kim Mitchell, Lee Aaron, and Nazareth to an all-Canadian bill of rock royalty performing the hits fans have loved for decades. From power-chord anthems to unmistakable vocals, each day was a curated journey through Canadian rock history, complemented by food trucks, ice-cold drinks, and a vibrant 19+ atmosphere.

Produced by the non-profit Alderney Landing Community Cultural Centre, Rock the Harbour has become a Halifax summer tradition since its 2023 launch, drawing thousands of fans each year. The intimate harbourfront setting — steps from the Alderney ferry terminal — made it easy to pair with a downtown Halifax stay, waterfront dining, and the best of the city's summer festival season.
