Traditional Ceilidh at the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre
The Celtic Music Interpretive Centre sits on Highway 19 in Judique, midway along the Cèilidh Trail, and holds the provincial designation as Nova Scotia's Official Celtic Music Centre. Daily ceilidhs bring fiddlers, step dancers, and storytellers into a small hall where visitors are encouraged to tap along. The centre's archive and exhibits trace how Scottish Gaelic music took root in Inverness County after the arrivals of the early 1800s.
The Sunday ceilidh events are the main draw — $10 per person for an afternoon of live fiddle music, step dancing, and Gaelic songs that have been passed down through generations of Cape Breton families.
