The 2026 edition marked the festival's 50th anniversary, a milestone celebration that ran from Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, August 2. Festival-goers enjoyed parades, traditional Acadian music, dancing, cultural showcases, and family-friendly events throughout Chéticamp. Evening kitchen parties were a highlight, where locals and visitors gathered for spontaneous Acadian music sessions, storytelling, and warm hospitality.

Chéticamp is a traditional Acadian fishing village situated along the picturesque Cabot Trail, nestled between Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The festival is organized in partnership with Les Trois Pignons, the local cultural centre and museum, which houses exhibits on Acadian rug hooking, genealogy, and home life.
